The company

After working for over 30 years in various industries, I decided to start working for myself.

I specialize in Microsoft SQL Server, but have in-depth experience on the Intel hardware side, solid-state storage, SAN systems (Hitachi, EMC), DAS/NAS devices, Unix platforms, mainframe - primarily OS/390 but a touch of IBM-VM and z/OS.  Windows hardware exposure includes Dell, HP, IBM - Unix hardware exposure includes mainframe Unix (Amdahl UTX), Intel Unix (S5R4.2), SunOs, Sun Solaris, Linux (SuSE, RedHat, Ubuntu), AIX, HPUX and a few other assorted platforms.

In addition to system support/administration my background includes quite a bit of programming in a large number of languages.

ANSI SQL, Assembler (Intel/IBM/Unix), Basic, C, C++, C#, Classic ASP, Delphi, Java (just a touch), HTML, JavaScript, Perl, PostScript, P/L1, QBasic, S, T-SQL, VB, VBA, VBScript, VB .Net, VC++ and XML.
